Klaus
A personal AI assistant connecting WhatsApp to your own Obsidian notes.

The idea
An assistant you can simply text. Klaus lives in a WhatsApp chat and can search, create and edit notes in your own Obsidian vault. It also supports voice notes, images and recurring tasks.
My contribution
I’m building Klaus as an open-source, self-hosted project. The core is deliberately small: TypeScript for the logic, Docker for deployment and Markdown files for configuring agents.
What makes it different
Behaviour, models and permissions can be changed directly in Obsidian. A general assistant gradually becomes a tool for your own everyday routines. The code and documentation are on GitHub.
